Urban Resort Co Ltd
Launched in 2006 by Lee Chestnutt and Jaffrey Maharan, Urban Resort's unique concept was inspired by exotic spa resorts all over the world. Aiming to capture the ambience of these luxurious resorts using essential oils, carefully selected and then blended to stimulate your senses and re-create the resort experience.
It began with just a name, created when two totally unrelated words were used together during a conversation. The idea evolved soon afterwards when Lee and Jaff were caught up in hurricane Katrina's and hurricane Rita's devastation while on a business attachment to New Orleans.
The idea was then defined, refined and re-defined over the following six months in both Houston and New Orleans, while recovering from the emotional after effects of the hurricanes and simultaneously lending support to rebuilding the area. This situation provided unique experiences and environment, which all helped develop the concept.
After returning to their home base in Singapore over 6 months later they decided to turn the dream that held them together and kept them going during that time into a reality. Quitting their jobs, they moved to Bangkok to work closely with a Thai essential oil manufacturer and the 4 resort style signature blends were created, giving us - beach, garden, tropical and sanctuary.
With the key signature blends and fragrances, the Urban Resort concept was formed, with the product range based around these unique scents.
We are continuously developing the product range, trying to create new ideas and thoroughly research products that add to the ambiance and capture your ideal location.
